President Görgel: “In the last 6 months, we have invested 1.4 billion TL in Onikişubat”

At the 4th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party Onikişubat, President Fırat Görgel stated, “Our investments continue to increase in all areas for a more developed and modern Onikişubat. We are renewing the infrastructure and superstructure of our district with serious investments and increasing the added value of Onikişubat. The total amount of investments we have brought to Onikişubat and have started construction on in the last 6 months is 1.4 Billion TL.”

The AK Party Onikişubat 4th Ordinary Congress was held with great enthusiasm and a large crowd at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center. Among those present at the congress were AK Party Deputy Chairman in charge of Social Policies Dr. Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, the 66th Government Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci, AK Party Kahramanmaraş Members of Parliament Ömer Oruç Bilal Debgici, Dr. Tuba Köksal, and Mevlüt Kurt, 27th Term AK Party Kahramanmaraş Members of Parliament Ahmet Özdemir and Cihat Sezal, AK Party Provincial Chairman Muhammed Burak Gül, MHP Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Vahit Demiröz, district mayors, AK Party provincial and district organizations, and many citizens. At the congress, Durdu Sefa Kekeç was elected as the AK Party Onikişubat District Chairman by the votes of the delegates.

In his speech at the congress, Büyükşehir Mayor Fırat Görgel spoke about the investments made and planned for the revitalization of the city, stating, “We are working with all our might under the leadership of our President to revive our Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the February 6 earthquakes, in a much stronger way. Thanks be to God, we have made significant progress in this regard. Our housing and workplaces are rising, and our citizens are receiving permanent housing. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we are mobilizing all our resources for our heroic city. In the last 6 months, we have provided Onikişubat with 50 kilometers of hot asphalt, 45 kilometers of surface coating, 45 thousand tons of patching, 100 thousand square meters of interlocking paving stones, and 3 bridge culverts. We have also completed 50 kilometers of road opening and soil improvement work,” he noted.

Continuing his speech, President Fırat Görgel added, “The construction of the Guidance and Career Center in the Şehit Abdullah Çavuş neighborhood is ongoing. The project for the Youth and Sports Center serving the Yamaçtepe and Üngüt neighborhoods is nearing completion. Construction will begin soon. The project for the Day Care Center in the Piri Reis and 5 Nisan neighborhoods is nearing completion as well. God willing, we will start construction on this project in a short time. Within the framework of social municipalism, we always take care of our citizens in need. In Onikişubat, we have provided a total of 50 Million TL in social support to our fellow citizens in 6 months.”

Touching on infrastructure investments, President Fırat Görgel stated, “Again, in the last 6 months of our tenure, we have brought 107 kilometers of drinking water line, 14 kilometers of sewage line, 3 kilometers of stormwater line, 6 drinking water reservoirs, and 5 collection facilities to Onikişubat. The total amount of investments we have brought to Onikişubat and have started construction on in the last 6 months is 1.4 Billion TL.”
