Hazelnut Producers Will Transform into Micro Enterprises

As part of the project developed to support hazelnut producers in Düzce, hazelnut producers will be transformed into micro-enterprises. The project will be implemented in collaboration with Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and Düzce University.
Hazelnut Transformation Center Opened
In the project prepared for hazelnuts produced in Düzce to be transformed into micro-enterprises by farmers, a Hazelnut Transformation Center was established at Düzce University Faculty of Forestry. The center will provide training to hazelnut producers on cracking, sorting, roasting, packaging, and making hazelnut paste.

Düzce Governor Selçuk Aslan stated that the project is an important step for hazelnut producers, saying, “The hazelnut transformation center that we will take the first step today will open up a new vision for everyone dealing with hazelnuts in Düzce. We can obtain added value by processing hazelnuts.”
President of DTO Bıyık: “We will support hazelnut producers with the model factory.”
Erdoğan Bıyık, President of Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that the established model factory will provide great support to hazelnut producers, stating, “We are establishing a model factory where producers can transform their hazelnuts into value-added products.”
