Merkezefendi Municipality provides 2 million support to amateur sports clubs.

Merkezefendi Municipality provided material and equipment support to 65 amateur sports clubs. Merkezefendi Mayor Şeniz Doğan stated, “As a municipality that values sports and is a friend of sports, we continue to stand by our amateur sports clubs.”

Merkezefendi Municipality continues to provide material and equipment support to amateur sports clubs, as it does every year. To support amateur sports clubs with sports equipment, Merkezefendi Municipality gathered club managers and athletes at the Bereketler Meeting and Exhibition Hall. In the event held annually, approximately 2 million TL worth of equipment support was provided to a total of 65 sports clubs operating in the branches of football, volleyball, basketball, and disabled sports clubs. Through this support given to Amateur Sports Clubs, Merkezefendi Municipality touches around 20,000 athletes. Mayor Doğan delivered sports equipment to amateur sports clubs and athletes, wishing them success.

The program was attended by Denizli Provincial Youth and Sports Director Ömer İlman, Denizli Amateur Sports Clubs Federation President Feyyaz Ceşen, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department Head Ayşe Sarıkaya, Turkish Football Coaches Association Denizli Branch President Bülent Fil, Merkezefendi Public Education Center Director Harun Maden, Denizli Football Provincial Representative Cihan Çoban, Merkezefendi District Youth Sports Director Pelin Yalçın, Merkezefendi Municipal Deputy Mayors, council members, and nearly a thousand amateur sports club managers and athletes.

“We continue to always stand by sports and athletes”
Mayor of Merkezefendi, Şeniz Doğan, stated that they have always contributed to sports, saying, “As every year, we have delivered the sports materials and equipment we prepared based on the needs and requests of our 65 clubs to them this year as well. Investment in sports and investment in youth is very important and valuable. We continue to support by always voicing the problems and needs of Amateur Sports Clubs. Every child living in our district needs to have contact with any sport. We want sports to be a part of children’s development, mental development, and physical development. Since the date we took office, we have been providing sports training in many branches as Merkezefendi Municipality. We have a thousand registered athletes in Merkezefendi Municipality. We want to gradually increase this goal during this period. We are supporting 65 sports clubs, which means 20,000 people. By standing by our Amateur Sports Clubs, we do not want them to feel alone at any time. We show every effort and dedication to ensure that sports exist and thrive in our district. Since we took office, we have been a permanent supporter of sports and arts, and we will continue to be.”

“The support provided by local governments is very important for us”
Denizli Provincial Youth and Sports Director Ömer İlman stated that they are with the Amateur Sports Clubs, saying, “It is very important for local governments to intervene here, support the clubs, and provide support to facilities for sports to be carried out. A significant support is required as facilities and clubs for the development and continuity of sports and athletes. Seeing our local governments involved in this process and having all our administrators together makes us very happy. I express my gratitude to Merkezefendi Mayor Şeniz Doğan for the support he has given to sports and athletes.”

“I thank those who support our young athletes”
Denizli ASKF President Feyyaz Ceşen thanked everyone who contributed to the development of sports, saying, “We are very lucky in terms of local governments, as our municipality continuously and consistently supports us. Everything is for our children; they are the light of our future. I thank those who support our children. I also want to thank our Merkezefendi Mayor Şeniz Doğan for his support.”
After the speeches, the protocol members delivered the materials available in the hall to the amateur sports clubs.
