Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University Palestine Protest
Students of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University (AİÇÜ) along with academic and administrative staff, as well as citizens of Ağrı, organized a protest march against Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the persecution faced by the Palestinian people.
Protest March Details
During the march, banners in English and Turkish were displayed to draw attention to the persecution in Gaza. AİÇÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Abdulhalik Karabulut, former Ardahan Member of Parliament Prof. Dr. Orhan Atalay, and local authorities supported the march.
Statement from AİÇÜ Rector
Rector Prof. Dr. Abdulhalik Karabulut, in his statement, condemned Israel’s attacks on the Palestinian people and mentioned their support for actions worldwide. Karabulut emphasized their support for the actions led by youth in the USA and the West.
Prof. Dr. Karabulut: “Israel’s attacks on Gaza are a crime against humanity. We stand with the Palestinian people.”
