Guzelbahce Municipality will celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Republic Day with enthusiasm. On October 29, there will be a torchlight parade followed by a theater play.
Guzelbahce Municipality will host a series of events in the district as part of the celebrations for the 101st anniversary of October 29 Republic Day. The Mayor of Guzelbahce, Mustafa Gunay, invited all residents of Guzelbahce to the Republic festivities, stating, “We will keep our Republic, which we will celebrate its 101st year, alive forever.”
Mayor Gunay invited the residents of Guzelbahce to the celebrations. On Tuesday, October 29, there will be a march with torches and flags at Tabaoğlu Park in Maltepe Neighborhood at 20:00. Following this, at 21:00, a theater play titled ‘You are the Republic’ will be staged. Inviting all residents of Guzelbahce to the march and theater performance on this important day, Guzelbahce Mayor Mustafa Gunay expressed, “We are experiencing the pride and joy of celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic, which was declared on October 29, 1923. The Republic of Turkey, established under the leadership of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, has been the guarantee of democracy, freedom, and national sovereignty, thanks to the great sacrifices and determination of our nation. Over the past century, our Republic has made steady progress in line with the contemporary civilization goal set by Atatürk, standing strong and gaining strength despite all adversities. Republic Day holds great significance in reminding us of these values, passing them on to future generations, and emphasizing the importance of working for the bright future of our country.
