Esenyurt Mayor Özer fully supports education: Distributed stationery sets to 30,250 students.

Esenyurt Municipality distributed stationery sets to 30,250 students in need. The Mayor, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer, who participated in the distribution efforts, stated, “Children are our future. We are fulfilling our duties to ensure that they are well-prepared for the future.”

The Esenyurt Municipality, which completed maintenance and repair works in schools across the district, is providing support in the form of stationery supplies to students. The support packages include a school bag, checked and lined notebooks, a drawing notebook, dry and pastel paints, various types of pencils, erasers, sharpeners, adhesives, rulers, and folders to hold these materials. The distribution of stationery sets, which has benefited 30,250 students so far, continued today at Esenyurt Ekrem İnci Middle School. Mayor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer visited the school and participated in the distributions, gifting stationery sets to students as he went from classroom to classroom.

Özer asked students to support the cleanliness movement.

During his visit, Prof. Özer participated in a fifth-grade Turkish lesson, conversing with students and sharing memories from his school years. He also informed the teachers and students about the cleanliness movement initiated in the district and requested their support.

“We provide all kinds of support related to education.”

Mayor Özer stated, “We have painted, whitewashed, and repaired this school and dozens of other schools in our district. We worked for the future of our children without saying that this is the job of the Ministry of National Education. However, there is a problem in our district; in a school with 40-50 classrooms, approximately 5,500 students are enrolled. This shows that we have issues in terms of classroom sufficiency. Children are our future. To prepare them well for the future, the physical conditions must be good above all else. As a municipality, we are fulfilling our responsibilities regarding education. Because we know that the most important element of development is people. The most effective way to change and transform people is education. If we can educate these children well, our country will also be good. Therefore, every institution needs to give great importance and support to education.”

“We provide preparatory courses for universities and high schools.”

Prof. Özer stated that they have provided educational support to over 30,000 students so far, saying, “We also provide soup and pastry support to students studying in our libraries. We assist with books. We offer free courses for students preparing for high school and university entrance exams. For example, this year, 685 of our students who received training in our courses entered prestigious universities, particularly in fields such as medicine, law, and engineering. Seeing that our efforts are not in vain makes us extremely happy.”

Ekrem İnci School Principal Servet Ciritçi expressed his gratitude to Mayor Özer for the support, noting that Esenyurt Municipality has conducted maintenance and repair works in the schools.
