Şahin met with women who received the first Fair Play mothers training.

Fatma Sahin, the Mayor of Gaziantep, who has displayed exemplary leadership in Gaziantep and was chosen as Turkey’s first “Fair Play Mother” by the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), met with women who completed the “Fair Play Mother” training.

Within the scope of the work carried out by the Department of Family, Women, Health, and Social Services, the first training sessions were completed in groups of 30 based on applications made through the Women Friendly Gaziantep mobile application.

During the meeting held in the Metropolitan Municipality Council Hall, a promotional program for Fair Play Mothers was presented. The women who benefited from the training expressed their gratitude by mentioning the positive effects of the training on their children.

During the training process, women received education on many topics, from anger management to privacy training, effective communication with children, and conflict resolution between spouses. Information was shared about being a Fair Play mother and the spirit of Fair Play.

The greatest formula for a strong Turkey alongside a strong army is unity, solidarity, and brotherhood.

In her opening speech, Mayor Fatma Sahin condemned the terrorist attack at TUSAŞ and commemorated all martyrs.

Stating that Turkey’s greatest formula is the spirit of unity, solidarity, and brotherhood, President Sahin said, “Today we are together for an important work, but on the other hand, our hearts are very pained. We must ensure that our Mehmetçik, whose name is derived from the Prophet’s hearth, continue their path stronger, and TUSAŞ grows even more; we need to train stronger engineers in defiance of them, and establish a larger defense industry infrastructure. We need to create stronger UAVs and armed UAVs. Some are uncomfortable with this, and we will continue to disturb them. The greatest formula for a strong Turkey alongside a strong army is unity, solidarity, and the spirit of brotherhood. The multiplication of a mother’s heart, the clustering and focusing of mothers with this heart call,” she said.

“Having our mothers in this training is very valuable.”

Emphasizing the importance of Fair Play by stating that they have to spread this perspective to the whole world and bring it to the administrations, Sahin said, “To multiply and focus the mother’s heart, the mother’s heart is the greatest medicine for truth and honesty. When you enter there, it shows you the compass, the North Star, the truth. It’s important for all mothers for their own children. We are here to want for all the world’s children what everyone wants for their own children and to fulfill that necessity. Your numbers must increase; of course, we must ensure the growth of justice, truth, and goodness in this world. We must sow seeds of love that will keep people away from this fight. We need to strengthen the seeds of love and goodness we have against the fight, to respond with kindness and beauty, and to grow this. Having our mothers in this training is very valuable. Education is very important. The better we educate ourselves, the more our children’s perspectives change accordingly. What we don’t know enlarges our mistakes. We must give up these and learn and apply the truths,” she stated.

The women who completed their training set off for a visit to the Fair Play museum in Konya and the city’s historical and cultural artifacts to understand and spread the spirit of Fair Play.
