While experiencing the autumn colors in Artvin, the sudden snowfall allowed for both autumn and winter landscapes to be captured in the same frame.
The snowfall that affected Artvin transformed the region into a mesmerizing natural tableau. The yellow and orange tones of autumn combined with the white blanket of winter, especially in high-altitude villages and plateaus, offering unique visuals. The village of Geçitli, located at an altitude of 1,700 meters in the Ardanuç district, became one of the most striking examples of this beauty. While the surrounding mountains were covered in snow, the village itself was dominated by the yellow and orange hues of autumn. This unique union of autumn and winter was captured from the air with a drone camera, captivating viewers.
The landscapes in different parts of Artvin attract nature enthusiasts and photography lovers. For those wanting to see both the first signs of winter and the last moments of autumn together, Artvin offers a veritable paradise of nature.
Emre Karagül, who came to the region to photograph autumn colors, said, “We came to Ardanuç to capture the autumn colors. We are experiencing winter and autumn at the same time. Just a moment ago, there was sun, and now it is snowing. The scenery is beautiful; we are very happy and having a great time.”
Content creator Şule Çeylan said, “Today we came to Geçitli village in Ardanuç. We came to see the autumn colors, but we were met with a surprise. We saw the first snowfall of the year. We are capturing these beautiful landscapes. We can record the colors of autumn and the whiteness of the snow at the same time.”
Hakan Öztürk from the local community stated, “This is Geçitli village. Right now, there are about 120 households in our village. Sixty live here, and sixty migrate during the winter. We are approaching the end of October. The snow fell unexpectedly. Normally, it would snow in November, but this year it came a bit early. Our animals are still grazing outside.”
