Free online cartoon drawing course by AHİKA

The Ahiers Development Agency will organize a free online cartoon training to support the development of individuals who want to pursue a career in cartoon art and to guide them in their professional journey.
During the training, which will be conducted over 12 weeks with 4 trainers from 4 countries, participants will receive education in Character Design, Background in Animation, the 12 Principles of Animation, and the History of Cartoons.
The training is open to individuals residing in the provinces of Aksaray, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Nevşehir, and Niğde. The main aim of the program is to equip participants who wish to pursue cartoon art as a profession with the necessary knowledge and skills. It aims to guide and direct them in making this art their profession. Participants will explore different aspects of animation and find professional development opportunities in this field.
The training sessions, led by Hamed Akrami, Fen Tsai, Isobel Stenhouse, and Fatih Küçük, will cover topics such as the formation processes and techniques of different characters, drawing and composition of stage backgrounds, and the fundamental principles and applications of animation.
The History of Cartoons and the Animation Industry: The historical development of cartoons and industrial perspectives will be included.
The training will last a total of 48 hours over 2 weeks. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 15:30 to 18:00 and on Sundays from 16:30 to 19:00 via Zoom.
For effective training and communication, the use of camera and microphone will be mandatory during the training. Three participants who successfully complete the program and stand out in their work will earn the right to participate for free in the International The Cartoon Mill Cartoon Festival, which will be held in 2025. After the preliminary applications, interviews will be conducted via Zoom on September 29 at 18:00. At the end of the training, participants will also receive a Participation Certificate.
