A press conference was held ahead of the International Bodrum MotoFest, which will take place in Bodrum, Muğla, from October 4-6.

With the support of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Bodrum Municipality, the festival will be held at the Gümbet Filling Area, where many brands will showcase their new products for the first time to enthusiasts. The festival, which will be open to the public, will feature adrenaline-filled motorcycle shows, stage performances, and DJ performances. The show by Birkan Polat, known for his breathtaking performances, will create a unique visual feast for motorcycle enthusiasts. At the opening of the festival, Necati and Saykolar will perform, while on the second day Retröbüs and on the third day the Kasamam group will provide fun and unforgettable moments for music lovers.

One of the most important features of the festival is that all the income generated from the raffles held during the event will be donated as food support for street animals. Additionally, participants will be informed about safer driving techniques and traffic rules.

A press conference was held at Trafo Café before the festival. The meeting, attended by Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Deputy Mayor Tanju Aksu, District Gendarmerie Commander Lt. Col. Gökhan Kurgan, District Police Chief Mehmet Darendeli, and Turkey Motorcycle Federation Board Member Faysal Şefkatlioğlu, began with an opening speech by Selim Turan, the organizer of the festival.

Turan recalled that the idea for the festival originated from the requests of motorcycle-loving youth in Bodrum for a motorcycle track, stating: “Bodrum, as the pearl of the Aegean and Mediterranean, has become a world-renowned tourism paradise not only for its sea, sun, and history but also for its cultural events. This great potential in tourism is further strengthened by such an international organization. The International Bodrum MotoFest not only brings to life the adrenaline-fueled world of motorsports but also promotes Bodrum’s name more strongly on the international stage. This event will add a new energy to Bodrum’s tourism and further enhance the appeal of this beautiful city. Bodrum MotoFest brings together motorsport enthusiasts at the point where speed and excitement meet, while also showcasing Bodrum’s cultural and tourist values. Each of us will witness how Bodrum has become a brand on the international platform through this festival. The successes we achieve in the tourism sector gain even more meaning with organizations like Motofest, bringing Bodrum to the world stage.”

Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit expressed his belief that the festival would be beneficial for Bodrum, stating: “Bodrum is a place where motorcycle usage is intense. Recently, we have had serious issues with motorcycle accidents. Serious injuries and fatal accidents are caused by motorcycles. This festival will also provide safe driving training. The income obtained from the festival will be used to buy food for our street friends. I thank everyone who supports the festival.”

Bodrum Deputy Mayor Tanju Aksu expressed his delight at the high helmet usage rate in Bodrum, saying, “Our helmet usage rate is high, but our youth are weaving through traffic on motorcycles. I want to draw attention to dangerous motorcycle usage. This festival will provide benefits to our Bodrum in terms of both safe motorcycle usage training and enjoyment and togetherness.”

Turkey Motorcycle Federation Board Member Faysal Şefkatlioğlu stated that they always support such events as a federation, saying: “This is the first one being held this year. God willing, it will continue to be done even better every year. I trust Selim Turan in this regard. We will provide our best support. I believe it will be a beautiful festival both for entertainment and educational purposes. I think it will be very good for Bodrum.”
