The Turkish Air Force aerobatics team, Turkish Stars, performed a salute flight in the skies over Anıtkabir in honor of the August 30 Victory Day.

August 30 Victory Day continues to be celebrated with enthusiasm across the country. As every year, Anıtkabir became the center of the celebrations this year as well. After the official visits conducted by state officials in the morning, Anıtkabir was opened to the public and was once again filled to capacity. The Turkish Stars aerobatic team, which is part of the Turkish Air Force, also performed a salute flight in the skies over Anıtkabir in honor of August 30 Victory Day.

Muhammed Çağın Beydili, a 13-year-old who emphasized the importance of August 30 for Turkey, stated that he got goosebumps while watching the Turkish Stars show, saying, “I was very happy, I have wanted to watch such a show for a long time.”

Şevval Nisa Sungur expressed, “I felt very proud while watching the Turkish Stars. You can’t help but feel proud. Happy August 30 Victory Day to the entire Turkish nation.”

“We came to visit our Atatürk, how happy we are”
Murat Kaplan, who stated that he visited Anıtkabir with his family, said, “In line with the significance of today, we brought our children to visit our Atatürk with our family. Today we are commemorating August 30, the day of the great Battlefield, when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk received the title of Commander-in-Chief. Today is the day the enemy fled from Afyon, Eskişehir, Denizli, Aydın, and Izmir. In this great operation executed between August 26 and September 18 at Dumlupınar, we remember all our martyrs and veterans who shed blood and sweat, and not only for them but also for those who are longing, for those who miss their fathers and spouses for the indivisible integrity of the homeland. We thank everyone. First of all, we thank Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He gifted us this day. It is a day when the Greeks fled from Turkish lands, from Western Anatolia; we are honored and happy. We came to visit our Atatürk, how happy we are.”

Mehmet Ali Kılınçarslan said, “I am very happy to be here today. Happy August 30 Victory Day to the entire Turkish nation.”

The Turkish Stars will perform an aerobatic flight around Lake Mogan at 18:00 as part of the August 30 Victory Day celebrations.
