The Yıldırım Bağlaraltı market will open in October.

Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz inspected the ongoing works at the Bağlaraltı Covered Market Area, where the projects are nearing completion.
Yıldırım Municipality is providing modern and comfortable market areas to ensure that the district’s residents can shop in safe and hygienic environments, while also making existing market areas more functional. In line with this goal, it has provided 40,000 square meters of market area to Yıldırım within the framework of 7 projects being carried out. The Bağlaraltı Market, which has a construction area of 6,305 square meters in Bağlaraltı Neighborhood, features 180 market stalls, a parking lot for 60 vehicles, social living spaces, and technical areas.

Good news for a women’s sports center

Stating that they are building modern covered market places instead of market areas established in the streets, which sometimes make it difficult for citizens to shop safely and hygienically, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz noted that the existing market place has been inadequate in meeting the needs. He said, “We are also making our existing market places suitable for our district. While doing this, we are not creating structures that will be used for just one day and left idle on other days, but rather we are providing facilities that will be active 7 days a week, with parking lots, social facilities, and common areas for the benefit of our people. The market area, which is planned with a parking lot on the lower floor and a market area on the upper floor, will not only allow our people to shop in healthier and safer environments but will also add value to our region. In response to the requests from the neighborhood residents, we are providing a women’s sports center in the lower floor of the market area. The Bağlaraltı Market Area, which we will inaugurate in October, is already a good thing for Yıldırım,” he said.
