Aydın Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers Union President Muhammet Ali Künkcü made important statements regarding the amendment made by the Ministry of Commerce about the mandatory closure of barbers, hairdressers, and beauty salons on Sundays.
President Künkcü evaluated the Ministry of Commerce’s new decision, which exempts women’s hairdressers and beauty salons from the obligation to close one day a week, in line with public demands. Künkcü emphasized that this regulation will not only ease the workload of tradesmen but also increase customer satisfaction.
Stating that women’s hairdressers and beauty salons can take a holiday whenever they wish, President Künkcü said in his statement, “The exemption of women’s hairdressers and beauty salons from the obligation to close one day a week will provide great relief for our tradesmen. This change will particularly ensure the continuity of business for our hardworking female hairdressers and beauty salons, allowing them to provide better service to their customers. It is extremely pleasing for us that our ministry has made such a regulation considering the demands of our tradesmen.”
Künkcü noted that this new regulation will be valid throughout Turkey and that relevant tradesmen and craftsmen in all provinces will be informed. He expressed his belief that women’s hairdressers and beauty salons in Aydın will quickly adapt to this change, stating, “Our tradesmen will utilize this flexibility to respond to their customers’ demands in the best possible way. I wish this decision to be beneficial for all our tradesmen.”
Künkcü also added that as Aydın Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers Union, necessary information has been provided to their members, and steps have been taken to ensure that the new regulation is properly implemented by all tradesmen.
