Fatih Erbakan, the General Chairman of the New Welfare Party, who addressed the public in the Selendi district of Manisa, said, “With the New Welfare, a new era of abundance and prosperity will come.”

Fatih Erbakan, the General Chairman of the New Welfare Party, started his two-day program in Manisa from the Selendi district, which is the only district municipality of his party in Manisa. He was welcomed at the entrance of the district by the provincial chairman of his party, Serhat Orhan, Selendi Mayor Murat Daban, party members, and many citizens, accompanied by drums, zurna, and traditional horse riders. After greeting the public, Erbakan addressed them in front of the municipality. He stated, “In the March 31 elections, our people said that Selendi residents’ address is the New Welfare of the National Vision. He was elected as the mayor by your approval, declaring that municipalism is the work of the New Welfare, our candidate Murat Daban. I would like to thank the people of Selendi; municipalism is the work of the National Vision, we have sincerity; our National Vision mayor takes pride in carrying a poor person’s sack on his back, this is our understanding. First, ethics and spirituality, and ethical municipalism. We conduct the mayorship as a form of worship. The problems of our municipalities that have met service-oriented municipalism are also our problems. We will raise the prosperity of our district by solving the problems of our municipalities. I wish that National Vision municipalism will be beneficial for our Selendi,” he said.

Selendi Mayor Murat Daban thanked Fatih Erbakan for his visit. After his speech, Erbakan received information about the district municipality and the district from Mayor Murat Daban in the mayor’s office. Mayor Daban presented Fatih Erbakan with a local district woven rug featuring the Ottoman tughra as a gift to commemorate the visit.

After the Selendi visit, Erbakan moved on to the Demirci district, where he did not refuse couples who invited him to their weddings along the way and wished happiness to the young couple as a witness to their marriage.
