A cooperation protocol for the ‘Year of Retirees’ was signed between Kastamonu University and Kastamonu SGIM.

Kastamonu University signed a cooperation protocol with the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Social Security (SGIM) for activities to be carried out within the scope of the “Year of Pensioners.”

Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal hosted Kastamonu Social Security Provincial Director Emin Sahin in his office. During the visit, a protocol to strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions was signed by Rector Topal and Director Sahin. Within the framework of the protocol, various activities and projects will be implemented as part of the “Year of Pensioners.” The cooperation aims to organize social and cultural activities that target enhancing the quality of life for retirees. Kastamonu University will support the active participation of individuals in the retirement process by sharing its academic knowledge and expertise with Kastamonu SGIM.

Rector Topal expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation carried out with Kastamonu SGIM, emphasizing that collaborations with social security institutions are of great importance in realizing projects aimed at different segments of society.

Additionally, Rector Topal stated that this protocol would contribute to retirees leading a higher quality life and wished for the collaboration to be beneficial for both Kastamonu University and retired citizens.

Provincial Director Emin Sahin noted that with the signed protocol, both the quality of life for retirees would increase, and university students would have the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experiences of retirees.

Sahin thanked Rector Topal for this meaningful collaboration, expressing his belief that the protocol would provide significant benefits for the people of Kastamonu.
