‘Frig Valley Ecological Village Project’ was evaluated

Eskişehir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Ender Muhammed Gümüş attended the evening meeting held in the Gökçekuyu neighborhood of Han district, accompanied by Hasan ÖZ, the Director of the Coordination and Agricultural Data Department. The meeting, which was organized by Han District Governor Esra Kodaz and Han Mayor Bekir Belceli, also included participation from Gökçekuyu Neighborhood Muhtar Mustafa Kurnaz, S.S. Gökçekuyu Neighborhood Agricultural Development Cooperative President Kezban Kurnaz, Board Members, as well as local residents and farmers.
An investment of 9 million TL for meeting infrastructure needs in Gökçekuyu Neighborhood
In addition to evaluating the general outlines of the “Frig Valley Ecological Village Project,” which is being carried out with the support of 21 public institutions and organizations under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Gökçekuyu Neighborhood, the meeting discussed the overall agricultural potential of the neighborhood, as well as the general demands and problems of the farmers and local residents. In this regard, the meeting included evaluations of the 9 million TL investment made since 2022 to meet the infrastructure needs in Gökçekuyu Neighborhood before the implementation of the project, as well as the investments planned for the future, and proceeded in a question-and-answer format with mutual exchange of views.

The Frig Valley Ecological Village Project aims not only to increase the agricultural productivity of Gökçekuyu but also to activate the region’s tourism potential. The project promotes ecological farming practices and sustainable production methods while protecting the region’s natural resources, encouraging the promotion and sale of organic products. Additionally, through agricultural tourism, it aims to present the region’s natural and cultural values to domestic and foreign visitors, thereby strengthening the local economy. This project is of great importance as a visionary initiative that aims to make Gökçekuyu one of the centers of ecological agriculture and agricultural tourism.
