Exhibition Opened for Hungarian Celebrities
Exhibition featuring works of famous Hungarian celebrities invites art lovers to a historical journey. The exhibition showcasing the works of renowned Hungarian figures takes art enthusiasts on a captivating experience.

In Tekirdağ, an important exhibition was opened within the scope of the 2024 Hungary-Turkey Cultural Year. The exhibition named ‘Hungarikons’ displays objects that have become icons of Hungarian celebrities of the 20th century.
What’s in the Exhibition?
Various works are displayed in the exhibition, ranging from a painting made from the bow tie of an Oscar-winning film director to pieces brought from space. The exhibition includes belongings and memorabilia of world-famous figures. Striking pieces such as a painting made from the bow tie of an Oscar-winning director, the pipette of Nobel laureate Katalin Karik, and relics brought from space by Hungarian astronauts enrich the exhibition.
Among other works are the jersey of Flrin Albert, Hungary’s only Golden Ball winner, the horseshoe of the best Hungarian racehorse, the tennis racket of Wimbledon champion Balzs Tarczy, and many other significant objects. These works are transformed into sculptures, paintings, and installations by distinguished Hungarian artists and exhibited.
Attila Pinter, the Hungarian Consul General in Istanbul, emphasized the special place of Tekirdağ for Hungarians in his speech at the exhibition opening, emphasizing the historical and cultural ties of Tekirdağ residents.
Tekirdağ Governor Recep Soytürk emphasized the importance of the exhibition, highlighting the significance of the events organized within the Hungary-Turkey Cultural Year. It was stated that the exhibition will be open to visitors until the end of the month.
