The Ümraniye Municipality has launched a significant social responsibility project with the Ümraniye Women’s Hand Market (ÜKEP), where women have the opportunity to showcase and sell their handmade products. In this market, which features hundreds of products ranging from food to textiles, women bring together art and labor.

Set up in the Yamanevler Indoor Market Area, the stands open their doors to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday, showcasing the skills of women. Handmade jewelry, accessories, home decor products, and many other special items are prepared with great care and offered for sale. Additionally, fruits, vegetables, and textile products are also available in the market, providing visitors with a wide range of products. This market aims to support women’s economic independence while also strengthening the sense of solidarity and social unity. In the Ümraniye Women’s Hand Market (ÜKEP), 114 women have the opportunity to sell their products at 60 stalls. Furthermore, in the last two years, 101 women have started their own businesses, sold products on social media, and found jobs thanks to vocational and artistic training.
