Ömer Tek, who could not remain indifferent to the injured baby crow he saw on the road in Kocaeli, has been feeding the crow for 3.5 months. Tek, who says he sees the crow as his own child, feeds it Rize tea and meat.

Ömer Tek, who adopted the injured baby crow he found 3.5 months ago, has formed a friendship with the animal. Feeding the crow with tea and meat, Tek now sees it as his child. The duo, who go to the sea, shopping, and outings together, have formed a friendship worth seeing. Because he is from Rize, Tek feeds the crow Rize tea, saying, “It doesn’t drink coffee, it drinks organic Rize tea,” drawing attention to local products.

Ömer Tek, who stated that he found the injured baby crow on the road 3.5 months ago, said, “It constantly eats meat, it won’t eat anything else. They say crows are wild, but they are very attached to humans. When it finds something, it brings it and hides it. Wherever I go, it follows me, sitting on my shoulder and head. It is a loyal animal to humans. It drinks organic Rize tea, saying, ‘I don’t drink coffee, I drink Rize tea.’ Since I am from Rize, I got it used to Rize tea. It never leaves me; it thinks I am its mother or father. At first, people are surprised and scared, but later they start to love it. Everyone wants to buy it, but it cannot be sold for money. Its worth cannot be measured in money,” he said.

Tek said, “I recommend it to those who do not have children; it has become like a child to me. I have 2 children, but now I have 3 children. It follows me everywhere, to the sea, to the market. I recommend everyone to keep animals. They shouldn’t throw them out just because they are wild. As long as you give love, it gets attached to you. Once you give your love, it bonds with humans.”
