Melikgazi Municipality continues its new road works that will relieve the city’s traffic. Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu examined the 3-kilometer alternative road connecting Aşık Veysel Boulevard in Köşk Mahallesi to Talas Boulevard on site. Mayor Palancıoğlu stated, “Hopefully, we will provide Kayseri with a new traffic axis within a month.”

Continuing its efforts to provide new and comfortable roads to both the district and Kayseri, Melikgazi Municipality is making intense efforts to open a new road that will connect Talas Boulevard to Teknopark (Aşık Veysel Boulevard) between Adnan Doğu Barracks and Erciyes University. When completed, the road, which has reached its final stage and is 3 kilometers long and 15 meters wide, will provide a beautiful alternative connection to the city. Examining the works on site, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that this road will alleviate the burden of three important boulevards, saying, “This road will be a beautiful line connecting Talas Boulevard to Teknopark. We have reached the final stage here after about a year of infrastructure works and other activities. Our Metropolitan Municipality will also hopefully construct both the Teknopark Junction and the junction on Talas Boulevard. If nothing goes wrong, we will have provided a new traffic axis, a new road to Kayseri and Melikgazi within a month. Thus, this road will lighten the load of Hulusi Akar Boulevard, Kartal Boulevard, and Talas Boulevard. It will also be a very beautiful road with landscaping. We will plant sycamore trees on both sides. Our citizens try to cross to the other side through Erciyes University to shorten the road. This road will provide great convenience for those going to both Talas and the city center without entering the university. May God protect us from accidents and disasters.”
