The sales center TRAMAR, established by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality to enable citizens to access meat and dairy products as well as essential food items at affordable prices, was inaugurated with a ceremony.
The opening of TRAMAR, where discounted meat and dairy products and essential food items will be offered by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, took place. Among those who attended the opening were Trabzon Governor Aziz Yıldırım, the Chairman of the TBMM Public Works, Reconstruction, Transport and Tourism Commission and Trabzon MP Adil Karaismailoğlu, Trabzon MP Vehbi Koç, Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, and General Director of the Meat and Dairy Institution Mustafa Kayhan, along with many others. In his speech at the opening, Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç stated, “Municipality is, in one aspect, serving the public entirely. It is not just about water and infrastructure; it is about touching the lives of our people. It is about being involved with all the problems of our people from birth to death. The understanding of municipalism of the AK Party is not only about works and services but also about social municipalism. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is the architect of municipal work, we are demonstrating this understanding in our city, just as we are in every part of our country. Since the moment we took office, we have provided conveniences for our retirees and youth. The opening of TRAMAR is significant in terms of enabling our people to access essential food items at more affordable prices. The steps we have taken continue with this understanding. We negotiated with our General Director of the Meat and Dairy Institution and signed the protocol. I would like to thank them very much in your presence. A magnificent project has emerged. We are a municipality; our job is not to engage in trade; it is never to compete with our tradespeople. Our aim is to provide and offer more favorable conditions than the market for our citizens to access at least essential food items under suitable conditions. Right now, we will offer this service to our citizens with at least a 30% difference compared to the market. Here, we will sell our local and organic products. Our concern is to serve our citizens,” he said.
Governor Yıldırım: “A very important step”
Trabzon Governor Aziz Yıldırım also emphasized the importance of the project, stating, “I find the initiative of our Metropolitan Municipality to offer essential food products to our citizens at affordable prices while also balancing the market to be extremely valuable. This step is an important step taken for our fellow citizens to access quality, healthy, and affordable essential food products. With this initiative, our municipality has taken a step forward by standing by our people to facilitate their daily lives, acting with a sense of social responsibility, and presenting a significant example of social municipalism,” he said.
After the speeches, the opening of TRAMAR was held, with citizens showing great interest.
