The protocol for the social reintegration of prisoners in the correctional facility has been signed.

KIRŞEHİR (IHA) – A protocol was signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for the social reintegration of inmates in prison.
The protocol aims to carry out planned activities in all areas deemed appropriate by the parties, focusing on rehabilitation to contribute to the personal development of offenders under supervised release measures and former convicts, to prevent them from committing crimes, and to reintegrate them into society.
The activities include enabling offenders and former convicts to benefit from rehabilitation activities, preparing and implementing complementary and supportive development programs for the staff of the supervised release directorate. The protocol also aims to conduct educational and rehabilitation activities to improve and reintegrate offenders monitored and supervised in the community based on their identified risks and needs, through collaboration with other institutions and non-governmental organizations, conducting individual interviews and group work, structuring free time, providing guidance activities, and facilitating participation in vocational courses and educational programs for offenders.
The protocol includes areas such as educational and rehabilitation activities, activities for children, activities aimed at combating addiction, joint projects and R&D activities, activities for personnel, social and cultural activities, activities for protection boards, and activities aimed at public benefit.
Additionally, it is planned to provide a course on aromatic plant cultivation to the inmates in the area allocated to them by the academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture.
After the signing ceremony, Kırşehir Chief Public Prosecutor Oğuz Şükrü Ener, Ahi Evran University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, and their companions visited and inspected the activity areas at Kırşehir Open Prison.
