The champion has not changed, Talas Belediyespor U14 is at the top again.

Last year’s Turkey champion U14 Talas Belediyespor team continued the tradition. The young football players and coaching staff, who are the Kayseri champions of this year, visited Talas Mayor and Honorary President of Talas Belediyespor, Mustafa Yalçın, to present the trophy.

Mayor Yalçın welcomed the U14 team, who reached the trophy by defeating Kocasinan Şimşekspor 6-4 in penalty shootouts, in the presidential meeting hall. The visit was attended by Talas Belediyespor Football Branch Responsible Sabri Gülmez, U14 team infrastructure managers Koray Tambay, Göksel Arsoy, Ünal Karagöz, and Ergin İptaş, along with the young football players. Coach Koray Tambay, who spoke here, provided information about the team, saying, “Mr. President, thank you for accepting us. Last year, we brought you joy as the U14 group by becoming champions. Those who became champions are now U15, while these players are now U14. Hopefully, this group will compete in the Turkey Championship for the first time this year. Thank you for your support, Talas Belediyespor Club President Yunus İloğlu and you.”

“You are smokeless factories”

President Yalçın congratulated the technical staff and young players for their achievements, stating, “Dear children, it is impossible to describe your importance to us. You are all valuable like smokeless factories. Among you, hopefully, future footballers like Pele, Maradona, Messi, and Arda Güler will emerge. We support you. Your parents support you too. Our state supports you as well. May God not cause any harm to the state. You have also entered a discipline by working hard. Hopefully, you will also own the funds that go abroad successfully. I congratulate all of you. We hope to see you become U14 Turkey champions like your older brothers did last year. Send greetings to your families.”

Emotional gift from the captain

U14 team captain Göktuğ Taha Muhammed Kaya expressed gratitude to President Yalçın for the support they received, stating, “We present this trophy to you as a gift for November 24 Teachers’ Day, our teacher president. Happy day to you.” After the speeches, the visit ended with a commemorative photo taken with President Yalçın, the U14 team, and the coaching staff. The young footballers of Talas Belediyespor will compete in the U-14 Turkey Championship, starting on March 10, 2025, aiming to repeat last year’s Turkey Championship.
