The ÖSYM Presidency organized a tree planting event for the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Forest at the Atatürk Forest Farm, due to its 50th anniversary. ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy stated that 1,500 saplings would be planted and emphasized the importance of contributing to nature and leaving a green world for future generations.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), the ÖSYM Presidency held a tree planting event to create a 50th Year Commemorative Forest. Speaking at the event held at the Atatürk Forest Farm, ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy said, “Today we are celebrating the fiftieth year of ÖSYM. As part of the 50th anniversary activities, we are here for the planting of 1,500 trees in the 50th Year Commemorative Forest. Under the leadership of our President, we are honored and proud to take such responsibility for a green world initiative with the project ‘Breath for the Future, Breath for the World.'”

“‘Even if you know that the apocalypse will come tomorrow, if you have a sapling in your hand, plant that sapling’”

Ersoy noted that each tree planted spreads a breath to the world, stating, “Hopefully, the breath here spreads to the whole world and especially finds breath in Gaza, leading to the cessation of the oppression in Gaza. As you know, in these days when the climate crisis is widespread, we are also making efforts, even if just a little, to reverse this crisis by planting a sapling and taking responsibility. We are representatives of a civilization that says, as our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated, ‘Even if you know that the apocalypse will come tomorrow, if you have a sapling in your hand, plant that sapling.’ Therefore, for us, as you know, the land is sacred, it is our mother, our earth, and water is precious. In line with this teaching passed down from our ancestors, we are also striving to carry the lessons they have given us to the generations that come after us. We are committed to leaving a more livable, green world for the young people who come after us.”
