Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that they reject a system in which the rights to life of the innocent are taken away and children are condemned to darkness, saying, “We will continue to fight resolutely for the Palestinian people, as well as all the oppressed who are tested by the fire of Israel, to achieve the security and peace they deserve.”
Emine Erdoğan shared a post on her social media account regarding the anniversary of the “One Heart for Palestine” Summit for the Leaders’ Wives, which she hosted last year for solidarity, on the occasion of 15 November Palestine Independence Day. In her post tagged “One Heart for Palestine,” Erdoğan stated, “November 15 is a day of solidarity that resonates in our consciences and is rooted in the quest for justice. While calling for a ceasefire for Gaza at the ‘One Heart for Palestine Leaders’ Wives Summit’ last year, we united our voices not only for a request for peace but against all actions contrary to occupation and human dignity.”
Emine Erdoğan emphasized that the oppression of Israel has reached Lebanon, crossing the borders of Palestine, and noted the following:
“We reject a system in which the rights to life of the innocent are taken away and children are condemned to darkness. We will continue to fight resolutely for the Palestinian people, as well as all the oppressed who are tested by the fire of Israel, to achieve the security and peace they deserve. For justice is not only an ideal but a right of all innocents. Defending this right is our test of humanity. On Palestine Independence Day, I commemorate our Palestinian brothers who have been deprived of life with mercy. May peace be upon the heroes who resist for their homeland.”
