Bayraktar AKINCI hits ELÇİN 82 and LAÇİN 82 with perfect accuracy.

Bayraktar AKINCI UAV has successfully hit targets with precision during its firing tests using the domestically developed laser seeker head-guided ammunition ELÇİN 82 and infrared seeker head-guided LAÇİN 82.

Under the Bayraktar AKINCI Project, led by the Defense Industry Agency, the integration of new munitions and systems developed locally and uniquely by Baykar into the Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) continues successfully. Bayraktar AKINCI has successfully completed firing tests with the general-purpose bomb MK-82 integrated with the ELÇİN Laser Guidance Kit and LAÇİN Guidance Kit developed nationally by ROKETSAN. The national UAV took off on November 15, 2024, from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, to conduct firing tests with ELÇİN 82, LAÇİN 82, and MAM-T munitions. The locally developed and national munitions fired by Bayraktar AKINCI, including the high-capability guidance kits ELÇİN 82 and LAÇİN 82, hit the designated targets with full accuracy.

Hitting targets with national munitions

The integration process of domestically produced munitions into the Bayraktar AKINCI UAV continues successfully. Bayraktar AKINCI, which derives its effective attack power from a wide range of national munitions that can be used against various targets, is increasing its effectiveness and deterrent capability day by day. To date, within the scope of the development activities of the national UAV, MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C, TOLUN, TOLUN IIR, Teber-81, Teber-82, LAÇİN 82 LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, Gökçe Guidance Kit, Gözde Guidance Kit, KGK-82-SİHA, İHA-230 Supersonic Missile, TV Seeker and Laser Seeker Headed İHA-122 Supersonic Missile and Çakır Cruise Missile have been successfully tested. In the conducted firing tests, Bayraktar AKINCI hit its targets with national munitions with full accuracy.

80,000 hours in the skies

Bayraktar AKINCI UAV, which stands out with its success in strategic missions, has successfully completed 80,000 flight hours, marking another significant milestone in Turkish aviation history. The national UAV successfully destroyed the Albatros UAV, which was flying over the sea, for the first time using the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, the world’s most advanced electro-optical system in its class developed nationally by Aselsan, during a test conducted on February 22, 2024.

Export champion

Since its inception, Baykar has conducted all its projects using its own resources and has generated 83% of all its revenue from exports since the start of the UAV R&D process in 2003. In 2023, Baykar achieved $1.8 billion in exports and ranked among the top 10 companies with the highest exports in all sectors in our country. Baykar, which received the Export Champions Award, was the export leader in the defense and aerospace sector according to the data from the Defense Industry Agency and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In recent years, more than 90% of its revenues have come from exports, with Baykar alone accounting for one-third of the defense and aerospace sector’s exports in 2023. As the world’s largest drone exporter, 97.5% of the contracts currently signed by Baykar are export-related. Export agreements have been signed with a total of 35 countries, including 34 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 UAV and 10 countries for the Bayraktar AKINCI UAV.
