Aksa Natural Gas, one of Turkey’s leading private natural gas distribution companies, has determined its new strategic roadmap with a focus on sustainable high growth and globalization. It was emphasized in the strategy meeting, led by the top management of Kazancı Holding and Aksa Natural Gas, that strong goals are being pursued towards 2030.

Aksa Natural Gas evaluated the developments for 2024 and the targets for 2025 in a two-day strategy meeting led by the top management of Kazancı Holding and Aksa Natural Gas. Under the theme “We Are Just Getting Started”, the meeting addressed industry-leading practices, projects, systematic operational steps, and gains, establishing a roadmap for 2025 and sharing long-term goals for 2030.

The company, which reached a turnover of 49.8 billion TL in 2023, increased its total investment amount to approximately 60 billion TL at current value with an investment of 5.7 billion TL made during the same period. Surpassing the strategic goals set for 2025 in 2015, Aksa Natural Gas updated these goals and announced its new investment plans to be realized by 2030.

Aksa Natural Gas Chairman of the Board Yaşar Arslan stated that they will continue to expand the boundaries of their development and innovation-focused service network with these investments, saying, “I am proud to say that we are a pioneering company advancing with the strength of Kazancı Holding’s experience and knowledge accumulated over half a century. From the first day we were established, we have tailored our services like a piece of art by understanding the geographical differences, expectations, and conditions of our provinces well. That is why our roadmap is solid. We are growing ceaselessly and continue to be a role model in our industry. As of today, we deliver natural gas safely to more than 5 million subscribers with 175 offices and over 4,500 employees in 306 districts and towns within the borders of 27 provinces. Our natural gas distribution network has exceeded 45 thousand kilometers. We continuously optimize our operational practices and strong steps with various improvements, always aiming for better. We are developing every day, growing as we grow, and serving the development of our country. Our dedication has provided us with significant experiences, and with our experience, we have become leaders. We are enthusiastic and determined to carry this flag even further.”

2030 Strategic Goals: Strong Investment, Sustainable Growth
The company is investing in sustainable high growth, globalization, and corporatization in line with Kazancı Holding’s strategic vision. In this context, the company will take significant steps in both domestic and foreign markets. With these investments, the company will also expand its service network. By 2030, the company aims to increase its network size from 45,478 kilometers to 70,000 kilometers with a 57% increase and to raise the number of subscribers from 5 million to 8.2 million with a 66% increase. Additionally, it plans to increase the natural gas distribution volume from 10 billion cubic meters to 17.2 billion cubic meters with a 78% increase.

On the other hand, the company, which reached an EBITDA value of 158 million USD by the end of 2023, aims to increase this figure by an average of 14% annually. It also anticipates raising its turnover, currently at 1.7 billion USD, to 3.1 billion USD.

More Effective Customer Experience with Artificial Intelligence
Arslan emphasized that the success they have created in service areas is an indication of their sustainable business strategies and excellent customer experience goals, saying, “While moving towards our strategic goals, we are placing emphasis on investments in next-generation technologies. With the artificial intelligence-based solutions we have implemented, we continuously measure the customer experience journey at all our touchpoints, providing our subscribers with a more effective and richer customer experience. We are producing proactive solutions by progressing with the principle of social equality. With our ‘Accessible Aksa’ project, we have structured our website according to accessibility standards specifically for visually and hearing-impaired subscribers, eliminating all barriers to access information.”

Emphasizing that they have established a strong foundation for future goals with significant initiatives and successes they will undertake in 2024, Arslan continued: “While providing the best to our customers, we also consider monitoring our environmental impacts as a fundamental responsibility in order to reach natural and clean futures. We are working for a sustainable world, for green futures. After successfully completing our Carbon Emission Calculation and Reduction project, which we implemented to identify greenhouse gas sources and control and reduce carbon emissions in the Trabzon-Rize region, we have mobilized to expand it to all our regions in the second phase. We have successfully completed the carbon footprint calculation for the 2023 operational year of our 21 regions. For a sustainable world and green futures, we say ‘We Are Just Getting Started.’
