UK Defense Minister John Healey, who came to Ankara as an official guest of National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, visited the TUSAŞ facilities.
UK Defense Minister John Healey, who came to Turkey on an official invitation, visited the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facilities in Kahramankazan as part of his visit.
A formal ceremony was held at the Ministry of National Defense for UK Defense Minister Healey, who is in Turkey on an official invitation, in the morning hours. Healey held a bilateral meeting with National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler here. It was learned that the discussion included the subject of the Eurofighter combat aircraft that Turkey plans to purchase. During his visit, Healey was accompanied by Jill Morris, the British Ambassador to Ankara, and Colonel James Torbet, the British Defense Attaché.
After the meeting held at the ministry, UK Defense Minister Healey visited the TUSAŞ Kahramankazan Facilities, which were attacked in a terrorist attack on October 23. Minister Healey was accompanied by National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, while Haluk Görgün, the President of the Defense Industry, and Mehmet Demiroğlu, the General Manager of TUSAŞ, welcomed him.
It was learned that Minister Healey examined the second prototype of HÜRJET, which recently made its first flight.
Haluk Görgün, the President of the Defense Industry, shared a statement regarding Minister Healey’s visit, stating, “UK Defense Minister John Healey visited our TUSAŞ with our National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and his accompanying delegation as part of his contacts in Ankara. The Minister signed the condolence book in memory of our martyrs at TUSAŞ. On this occasion, I once again commemorate our TUSAŞ martyrs who lost their lives in the heinous attack with mercy. During the visit, we talked about the successes of our TUSAŞ in the defense industry. We had the opportunity to show the Minister our National Combat Aircraft KAAN, our Jet Training Aircraft HÜRJET, and our AKSUNGUR, ANKA, and ANKA-III in person.”
