The successful youth of Menemen received their awards.

After preparing for high school and university entrance exams at the Menemen Municipality Youth Education Center, students who achieved successful results have made the district proud. Furkan Salttürk, who was accepted into medical school, and Alihan Tunç, who was accepted into İzmir Girls’ High School, were awarded tablets.

The educational investments of Menemen Municipality bring success to students. Educational assistance provided from first grade to senior year in high school, financial support given to young people from Menemen who have passed the university entrance exam, are studying at university, or have recently graduated, payment of university exam fees, and the distribution of thousands of digital education packages have received great appreciation from citizens.

Recently, the Menemen Municipality Youth Education Center (MEBGEM) has reached a total of three branches, with the opening of a new branch in Ulukent, following the Asarlık and central branches, becoming a success hub for Menemen in high school and university entrance exams. Furkan Salttürk, who prepared for the university entrance exam and was accepted into Uludağ University Medical Faculty, and Alihan Tunç, who was accepted into İzmir Girls’ High School through LGS, were rewarded for their commendable achievements. Both students received tablets from MEBGEM Director Yiğit Alpkan.

“I prepared for the exam with MEBGEM and I succeeded”
Furkan Salttürk, who got into medical school, said, “I benefited from all the facilities of MEBGEM while preparing for the exam. I was able to comfortably ask my questions to our teachers. I made use of the trial exams and books. I benefited from the lesson explanation videos and trainings in the digital education package. I would like to thank our Mayor Aydın Pehlivan for his support. I have rarely seen such intense support. He helped us in every aspect. I thank the mayor for everything he did, from paying exam fees to the education at MEBGEM. I prepared for the exam with MEBGEM and I succeeded.” Alihan Tunç, who was accepted into İzmir Girls’ High School, said after receiving his tablet, “I solved a lot of practice questions and took exams. Thank you to MEBGEM, my teachers, and our Menemen Mayor Aydın Pehlivan.”

Digital education package came with gifts
Just like last year, this year, a digital education package distributed free of charge to 12th and 8th grade students preparing for exams came with rewards. Four students and one teacher who entered the system with the codes from the approximately 10,000 educational sets distributed won gift vouchers worth 1,000 lira from a shopping platform. Additionally, the lucky students for September and October were awarded tablets, which will be given to one lucky winner each month.

Pehlivan: “Our saplings are flourishing”
Evaluating the successful results of the students, Menemen Mayor Aydın Pehlivan stated, “When we came to office, we started our educational support by opening Ulukent Kindergarten and we are striving to provide the best service to every student throughout Menemen by utilizing all our resources and providing services in all areas. Education is our red line. As we see that our children, who are saplings in the MEBGEM education, are achieving successful results, we witness our saplings flourishing. Menemen will be the shining value of İzmir, a city where many scientists and artists are raised and also live.”
