Soysallı neighborhood has been connected to natural gas.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç visited the Soysallı Neighborhood of Develi district, which has gained access to natural gas, and brewed linden tea over a natural gas fire at the home of the Neighborhood Headman Hacı İbrahim Akarsu. During his visit to the Soysallı National Park, Mayor Büyükkılıç chatted with citizens and conducted inspections in the park, and also visited Develi Municipality.

Mobilizing all the resources of the metropolitan municipality for the citizens of Kayseri in both the city center and rural areas, Mayor Büyükkılıç continues his efforts and works for the neighborhoods and districts of 16 municipalities to gain access to natural gas, sharing in the joy of the neighborhoods that have already received it. As natural gas works continue in different parts of the rural areas of the city, Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç visited the Soysallı Neighborhood, which has gained access to natural gas. Accompanying Mayor Büyükkılıç during his visit to the Soysallı Neighborhood were Develi Mayor Adem Şengül, Assistant General Secretaries of the Metropolitan Municipality Ali Hasdal and Mustafa Türkmen, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Bülent Saklav, Transportation Inc. Manager Mehmet Canbulut, and department heads. After receiving information about the works in the neighborhood that has gained access to natural gas, Büyükkılıç visited the home of Neighborhood Headman Hacı İbrahim Akarsu, took his place at the hearth, and brewed linden tea. In his statements here, Mayor Büyükkılıç noted that they are carrying out natural gas-related works step by step, stating, “Right now, we are in Soysallı, one of the prettiest neighborhoods of Develi. It is a valuable and important village with beautiful people who are attached to the values of Soysallı, producing with livestock and agriculture, and located right at the edge of Sultan Sazlığı. One of the most important expectations of the people here was natural gas. We are continuing our works on natural gas step by step. After evaluations made by our Kayserigaz company, gas has started to come to our neighborhood and connections have begun.”

Mayor Büyükkılıç also gave the good news that necessary works would be done regarding the houses in Soysallı Neighborhood that have not yet received gas and other neighborhoods without gas, saying: “We know that about 50 houses in this beautiful neighborhood of 550 households have not received natural gas. Our valuable district mayor and our mayor are following these issues. After addressing the deficiencies in planning or zoning applications in these areas, gas will be provided to these regions. May it be beneficial and auspicious. Zoning plans and applications for neighborhoods without gas are ongoing, and services are being implemented one by one. I thank those who contributed.”

Develi Mayor Adem Şengül also thanked Mayor Büyükkılıç for his visit, saying, “He is our elder, our brother from Develi. He is the pride of Develi and Kayseri, may God bless him, he is one of us. His feelings and thoughts express everything for us. I extend my gratitude to him.” Şengül also reminded of Büyükkılıç’s efforts for Soysallı Neighborhood and 10 more neighborhoods to gain access to natural gas, stating, “In 2024, our Soysallı Neighborhood and then the 10 neighborhoods in the west will have access to natural gas. After that, I know that our 4 neighborhoods, Çayırözü, Kızık, Kulpak, and Yenihayat, have been included in the 2025 investment after zoning plans are made. God willing, after you support us, we will also know that our neighborhoods on the Tomarza line, Bakırdağ line, and Şıhlı line will gain access to natural gas after zoning plans are made. Neighborhood Headman Hacı İbrahim Akarsu thanked Büyükkılıç and Şengül for their services, saying, “I thank my mayors very much for providing us with this service. It is a very good service, and I hope it will reach those who do not have it.” Meanwhile, the headman’s wife Aksu said, “I wish it had come 20 years ago, natural gas is life. May God bless you.” Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç also visited Soysallı National Park, conversing with citizens and inspecting the park.

Later, Büyükkılıç visited Develi Mayor Adem Şengül at his office, wishing him and his team ease in their work. Evaluating the visit, Büyükkılıç said, “We visited Develi Municipality and met with our Mayor and municipal staff. I thank Mayor Adem for their hospitality and wish him ease in his works for Develi.” Additionally, Mayor Büyükkılıç visited the Develi Integrated Meat Facilities, thanking the company partners Musa Dulu and Şaban Çetin for their hospitality and contributions to the city’s employment.
