Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı hosted a delegation from Japan as part of a new investment project to be made in the city. The meeting laid the groundwork for an important cooperation step that will contribute to the economic development of Nevşehir.

Continuing discussions with foreign investors to ensure that Nevşehir, the center of Cappadocia, receives a larger share of tourism and to accelerate economic development while increasing employment opportunities, Mayor Rasim Arı welcomed a delegation from Japan for this purpose. Mayor Arı provided detailed information about the region’s tourism potential and the investment environment in the city to the delegation that came to explore potential investment areas, primarily in the Kayaşehir region. Emphasizing that Nevşehir has a great potential in tourism with its rich cultural heritage and natural beauties, Arı stated, “Our aim is to develop the tourism infrastructure of our city to attract more tourists and to offer new job opportunities to our people. The collaborations we establish with foreign investors will provide great contributions not only to our city but also to the region and our country.”

During the meeting, projects that would support regional development, in addition to tourism investments, were also discussed. A consensus was reached particularly on establishing partnerships in areas such as hospitality, congress tourism, and local handicrafts. Expressing that cooperating with international investors to activate the city’s tourism potential will pave the way for the city’s economic growth and increase employment, Arı said, “These collaborations will not only attract tourists to our city but will also provide our residents with more job opportunities. We aim to increase employment rates by signing new projects together with our investors. As we always say, this city will get the value it deserves and will receive its rightful share from tourism. For this reason, Kayaşehir is very valuable to us.”

Mayor Arı stated that the Japanese delegation left the city with very positive impressions and added that a larger Japanese delegation would come to Nevşehir in February to further the discussions.
