ATO’s reception for the ‘TRAVELEXPO Ankara International Tourism and Travel Fair’.

The Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) held a reception for the “Travel Expo 7th International Ankara Tourism and Travel Fair.”
ATO organized a reception as part of the “Travel Expo 7th International Ankara Tourism and Travel Fair,” attended by ATO Council Members, 80 foreign guests from 35 countries, and representatives of health tourism in Ankara.

“Playing a pioneering role in the development of tourism varieties”
In a speech at the event, ATO Deputy President Temel Aktay stated, “The TRAVELEXPO Ankara, which we opened this morning, is an organization that adds significant value to our tourism sector, our city, and our country, and has now become a brand. The fair provides a valuable platform for efficient collaborations, new business opportunities, and knowledge sharing by bringing together important stakeholders of the tourism sector on an international level. It plays a pioneering role in the development of tourism varieties from cultural tourism to health tourism, from congress tourism to education, business, and sports tourism. At the gala held this evening, in line with the fair’s purpose, we are creating a foundation for the development of health tourism by bringing together the industry stakeholders from abroad that we are hosting in our city with the representatives of our capital’s health sector,” he said.

“Creating a vast economy”
Aktay pointed out that health is a valuable field, saying, “Health has become a topic that is talked about more and occupies a broader place in our lives, especially with the pandemic process. Individuals strive to be healthy, and countries aim to create a healthy society. People are traveling from one end of the world to the other to receive treatment. This approach has also developed health tourism. Health, as a sector, is one of the important cornerstones of the global economy. It creates a vast economy from the production of medical products and drugs to doctors, nurses, health facilities, and insurance.”
