The Folk Dances Turkey Championship continues with all its excitement.

The Folk Dances Clubs Turkey Championship, hosted by Denizli, is in full swing, taking place from November 7 to 16, 2024. Competitions, where cultures from every corner of Anatolia come together in Denizli, continue every day at 6:00 PM at the Nihat Zeybekçi Cultural Center.

The Folk Dances Turkey Championship is being held in Denizli. The Youth Sports Provincial Directorate, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, and the Folk Dances Federation are organizing the championship, and the sixth day has passed. During the championship, which takes place at the Nihat Zeybekçi Cultural Center from November 7 to 16, 2024, competitions are held in different categories every day. A total of 3,000 athletes will participate in the 10-day event. Teams that have been preparing for months showcase their performances in front of a jury. The ranking is determined at the end of the competitions based on the scoring by a jury consisting of national referees of folk dances, according to the teams’ harmony and performances. According to the Folk Dances Turkey Championship program, the Yıldızlar Organized Category will take place this evening, and the Yıldızlar Unorganized Category competitions will be held on Thursday, November 14. The championship will conclude with competitions in the Adults category on Friday and Saturday.

Ömer İlman, the Provincial Director of Youth and Sports in Denizli, who is hosting the organization, stated that folk dances are a testament to how significant a richness our country possesses as the cradle of culture and civilizations. İlman expressed that they take pride in having such a cultural heritage and noted that, just like last year, motifs from Anatolia will meet in Denizli this year as well. Emphasizing the hospitality of the people of Denizli and the satisfaction of the guests from the organization, İlman conveyed their happiness in hosting this cultural feast across all categories this year.
