The Melikgazi Municipality, which has made a name for itself with its record support for young people producing projects for the Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST, has achieved another significant success.
Participants from all over Turkey competed with their R&D projects at TEKNOFEST, where 7 teams supported by Melikgazi Municipality managed to enter the top 10.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, who serves as a role model with the projects and investments implemented for young people, stated in his announcement, “As Melikgazi Municipality, we attach great importance to youth. We said, ‘Youth first’; we are building schools and libraries for them. We are establishing technology workshops. We support many events and activities. Among these, support for TEKNOFEST is one of the most important supports. In the last 3 years, we have provided material support worth 5,000,000 TL, enabling many of our teams from primary school, high school, and university to participate in TEKNOFEST. This year, for 2024, we provided a total of 2,500,000 TL in material support, backing 36 teams that participated in competitions held in 3 different provinces. Of these teams, 16 became finalists, and 7 of them made it to the top 10. I congratulate them all and wish them continued success. Our support for youth will continue as Melikgazi Municipality. Young people are truly capable of contributing to the development of our country with different projects. We are implementing many forms of support to hold their hands and provide them with all kinds of assistance. I wish success to all the teams that have succeeded and received support at TEKNOFEST. Congratulations.”
