‘City Conversations Republic 101’ event was organized.

At the AntTalks event organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, valuable speakers met with citizens.

The event titled “City Conversations Republic 101” organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Urban History and Promotion hosted many speakers. The event, held at the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center, began with a presentation by Erdem Arslan, the Founder of Harmoni Talks, and continued with the opening speech by Cem Kılıç, the Marmara Regional Coordinator of the Istanbul Planning Agency. After the opening speeches, Cellist Melisa Yılmaz also gave a mini concert.

‘The Search for Meaning in Humanity’

At the AntTalks event moderated by Özel Oytun Türkoğlu, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Turkey Promotion Research Democracy and Secular Formation Foundation, Osman Sert, a member of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Council and TÜLOV Antalya Representative, held a discussion titled “The Search for Meaning in Humanity.” Sert emphasized the human quest for meaning in life and its role in the individual’s internal development. He also shared his thoughts with the participants about the difficulties of finding meaning in modern societies and ways to overcome the obstacles individuals face in this quest.

‘War for Law’ discussion

At the City Conversations Republic 101 event, Academic-Writer Lawyer Dr. Onur Altınkan held a discussion titled “War for Law.” Altınkan addressed the importance of legal struggle for societies and the efforts made to uphold justice, aiming to raise awareness in the field of law through his presentation. The discussion provided participants with information about the historical development of the concept of law, its effects on society, and current legal issues.

Foundations of Contemporary Society Discussed

In the discussion titled “Seeds Sown in the National Struggle and the Early Years of the Republic” where the Antalya Bar Association President Lawyer Ali Çağdaş Bozaner was also a speaker, the achievements of the National Struggle and the steps taken in the early years of the Republic in forming a contemporary society were addressed. Additionally, the social dynamics contributing to the development process of republican values and the fundamental principles of the Republic were emphasized, highlighting the importance of these values in today’s Turkey.

The Great Leader Narrated through Stories

Actor Kahraman Sivri and Soner Türker met with citizens through their presentation titled “Mustafa Kemal Atatürk through Stories.” The presentation shared inspiring memories from Atatürk’s life and stories reflecting his character and leadership qualities. The stories related to the challenges Atatürk faced and the revolutions he accomplished offered citizens an emotional and educational experience. Thanks to this impactful presentation, citizens had the opportunity to learn more closely about Atatürk’s leadership legacy and contributions to the Republic.

At the end of the event, the speakers were presented with plaques of appreciation.
