The Open Air Social Activity Area established in the Denizli Dormitories campus of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) was opened to service with a ceremony. The area, enriched with structures such as a gazebo, café, barbecue area, ornamental pool, and event stage, has started to serve students residing in GSB Denizli Dormitories.
The Denizli Student Dormitories, operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, serve as a home for 12,390 students across 11 dormitories in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. In the last two years, no student who applied to state dormitories has been left without accommodation, and GSB Denizli Dormitories offer a complete living complex to students with social, cultural, sports, and artistic courses along with educational activities. The social activity area, created with the dedicated efforts of the Youth Sports Provincial Directorate support staff in the campus that includes Pamukkale, Biruni, and Fatma Yıldız Hanım Girls’ Dormitories, aims to allow students to spend quality time outdoors. The Open Air Social Activity Area, covering 2,000 square meters, includes spaces such as a gazebo, café, barbecue area, ornamental pool, seating benches, and an event stage.
Speaking at the opening held on Wednesday, November 12, Youth Sports Provincial Director Ömer İlman stated that GSB Denizli Dormitories possess one of Turkey’s most distinguished and exceptional campuses. “As an institution, we have created such an area for the benefit of our students with our own resources and the dedicated efforts of our staff,” İlman said, thanking everyone involved. The opening ribbon of the Open Air Social Activity Area was cut jointly by Director Ömer İlman and the students.
