Quality and affordable meat sales have started at BESAŞ.

With the protocol signed between BESAŞ, a subsidiary of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, and the Bursa Breeders Association, citizens can now access quality and delicious meat products at more affordable prices. Mayor Mustafa Bozbey stated, “Thanks to this project, both our producers will benefit and the people of Bursa will be able to reach quality and delicious meat at reasonable prices.”

The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, through BESAŞ, is connecting the local products of Bursa with the residents in a healthier, more reliable, and affordable way. BESAŞ, which is continuously expanding its product range, has started to offer quality and delicious meat products at reasonable prices. With the protocol signed between BESAŞ and the Bursa Breeders Association, meats sourced from local producers in Bursa have begun to be sold at BESAŞ outlets. The meat products such as minced meat and cubed meat have been offered to the people of Bursa at prices 20 to 25 percent below the market price after passing BESAŞ’s quality control. The residents of Bursa can access these meat products at BESAŞ Central Sales Store (across from Korupark), Uludağ University R&D Facility Sales Store, Kestel Factory Sales Store, Gemlik Factory Sales Store, and Mudanya Factory Sales Store.

The signing ceremony held at the BESAŞ headquarters was attended by Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, Bursa Breeders Association and Feyz Agriculture Food Industry Inc. President Sencer Solakoğlu, Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Dr. Ergül Halisçelik, BESAŞ Board Chairman Orkun Gazioğlu, Deputy Secretary General Mehmet Yıldız, and BESAŞ General Manager İbrahim Alpay Demirtaş.

Mayor Mustafa Bozbey thanked everyone who contributed to the project benefiting the people of Bursa. He stated that they are bringing Bursa’s local flavors to the residents through BESAŞ, saying, “As of today, we are offering meats sourced from local producers in Bursa at affordable prices as minced and cubed meat at BESAŞ sales points. It is a great joy for us to provide our people with products from known quality animals. Thanks to this project, both our producers will benefit and the people of Bursa will be able to access quality and delicious meat at affordable prices. I would like to thank our citizens in advance for supporting local producers by purchasing meat products from BESAŞ points. May it be beneficial.”

Sencer Solakoğlu, President of the Breeders Association, expressed great happiness in developing a project beneficial for both the public and producers together with BESAŞ. He stated that both producers will earn more and consumers will have access to meat at more affordable prices, saying, “We believed that we could work for the benefit of both parties. We take pride in presenting these products to our people under the quality control of BESAŞ and with the support of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality.”

After the speeches, the protocol was signed by Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, BESAŞ Board Chairman Orkun Gazioğlu, BESAŞ Vice Chairman Zekeriya Âşık, BESAŞ General Manager İbrahim Alpay Demirtaş, and President Sencer Solakoğlu of the Bursa Breeders Association.
