Ottoman and Seljuk House Tour for Regulars in Talas

Talas Municipality organized promotional tours for the regulars of the Ottoman Cultural House and the Seljuk Cultural House.

The regulars of the Ottoman Cultural House located on Atatürk Boulevard and the Seljuk Cultural House situated in the Mevlana Neighborhood Square participated in the district promotion program by tour bus. The promotional tour began with the Seljuk Cultural House. The tour, which started with the gathering at the tour bus in Mevlana Neighborhood Square, kicked off with a visit to the Water Civilizations Gallery located in the historical Gölbaşı Square of Kiçiköy Neighborhood. The tour continued with the 100th Year Museum from Çanakkale to the Republic, located at the entrance of the Ottoman Culture Street, where the elderly had the opportunity to see real objects used in the Battle of Çanakkale. The tour concluded at the Yaman Dede Cultural House, which included the Exhibition of Facsimile Qurans. Talas residents examined the exhibited works and the hilye-i sharifs, completing the district tour. In another tour, the residents using the Ottoman Cultural House also toured the same routes by bus.

At the end of the program, a citizen named İsa Şentürk, who made evaluations, stated that it was a beautiful tour, saying, “I thank our municipality for showing us the historical services provided to us. It was better to see such historical places than to be idle. Spreading these beauties reinforces unity and solidarity as citizens. Let’s learn our past so that we can build our future better. I thank our mayor.”

Another Talas resident, Yusuf Şahin, expressed that the promotional tour was a novelty for them, stating that they had not seen the places along the tour route before. Mehmet Şahin noted that they saw beautiful things done in Talas, saying, “Not everyone can offer such things. I thank our president very much.” Another Talas resident, Ali Kaptan, stated, “I was very pleased with this trip. Visiting and seeing our ancestors’ legacy in the Çanakkale Museum made us very happy. May God bless my president. Only my president Mustafa Yalçın can do it if anyone can.” Ramazan Eser, who mentioned that he saw places he had never been to before, stated, “It’s a very good promotion. What more can I say?”
