Bahadır Alperen, the Chairman of the Central Disciplinary Board of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), stated, “As the glorious Turkish nation, beyond seeing November 10 as a day of mourning, we must evaluate this day as a day to commemorate our Great Leader; a day to understand his ideas, foresight, and determinations.”

Bahadır Alperen, the Chairman of the Central Disciplinary Board of the Nationalist Movement Party, published a message on the 86th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s death. In his message, Alperen noted the following:

“As the Turkish nation, we believe that November 10 is not only a day to remember our Commander-in-Chief, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, but also a day to reaffirm our determination to develop and carry the Republic of Turkey, his greatest work and gift, into the future.

Our mighty state is marching forward hand in hand with 85 million citizens, taking strong steps towards its goal of being above the level of developed civilizations.

The rise in industry, defense, economy, and many other areas is a source of pride for the Turkish nation and our ancient friends, while it also creates fear and concern for the traitors who aim to undermine the brotherhood, unity, and togetherness of our nation.

For this reason, as the glorious Turkish nation, we must evaluate November 10 not only as a day of mourning but also as a day to commemorate our Great Leader; a day to understand his ideas, foresight, and determinations.

As stated by our esteemed Chairman on November 10, 2000, ‘In short, Atatürk is one of the great leaders recognized by the world, and he is the greatest leader of the 20th century.’ Our Great Leader has taken his place in world history as the unforgettable Leader of the Turkish Nation.

With these feelings and thoughts, I once again respectfully commemorate our Great Leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, on the 86th anniversary of his passing. I wish mercy upon our glorious martyrs and long, prosperous lives for our heroic veterans.
