Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers celebrated their 30th anniversary.

The 30th anniversary of the regulation and definition of the profession of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage was celebrated. Cenk Ecevit, President of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, stated, “We celebrated our 30th anniversary. The earthquake in Kahramanmaraş in 2023 was a challenging period for the sector. We managed to overcome this process somehow. Right now, we have prepared beautifully for 2025, and the future is bright for us.”

The 30th anniversary celebration organized by the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance (SBD) took place. Many professional and association groups from the insurance sector, including the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey, and insurance companies, attended the event. Cenk Ecevit, President of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, and Selcen Gür, General Secretary of the Association, were present at the evening. It was noted that the insurance sector entered a difficult period after the earthquakes experienced in our country, but it was reported that all this process would be overcome, and a beautiful process would begin by preparing more securely and quickly for 2025.

“As an insurance sector, we will continue in a stronger way in 2025”

Cenk Ecevit, President of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, said, “We are celebrating our 30th anniversary. We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Insurance and Reinsurance Brokerage profession in Turkey together with all our sector stakeholders. The insurance sector is moving forward with strength and readiness for the future. The Turkish insurance sector continues on its path as a strong and reliable sector, equipped with all kinds of guarantees against all the risks it faces. The year 2023 was a difficult process for us. As you know, we experienced an earthquake, but we managed to overcome it. We are entering 2025 even stronger. Although we are struggling with prices, we do not neglect our insurances.”

Selcen Gür, General Secretary of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, stated, “This is a meaningful year for our profession. We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the insurance and reinsurance brokerage profession. All our stakeholders attended our celebration. As you know, the insurance sector underwent an important test after the Kahramanmaraş earthquake. We actually saw how important insurance is. This year is a better year for the insurance sector. Our sector is growing every day. The future is very bright for our sector, and it continues to move forward with rapid steps to reach its potential.”
