The events organized due to the 86th anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who passed away on November 10, 1938, began at 9:00 AM with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk monument located in the Artvin Governorate ceremony area. At 9:05 AM, the ceremony continued with a moment of silence in respect for the sirens ringing throughout the city, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony was attended by Artvin Governor Dr. Turan Ergün, Garrison Commander Infantry Colonel Muhammet Kelami Kablay, Artvin Mayor Bilgehan Erdem, protocol members, students, and many citizens. Following this program, the commemoration event continued with a program held at the Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Cultural Center. After the opening of the painting exhibition at the Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Congress and Cultural Center, the program continued with speeches highlighting the significance and importance of the day; later, awards were given by the provincial protocol to students who placed in the fields of painting, poetry, and composition.
The program concluded with an oratory prepared by the teachers and students of Ayhan Şahenk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
Meaningful 10 November choreography in Borçka
Students of Şehit Savaş Gedik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Borçka, Artvin, prepared a special choreography in memory of the 86th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. At the event held in the school courtyard, 115 students created choreography in the shapes of ‘09.05’ and ‘1938’ under the guidance of 21 teachers. During the event, teachers and students expressed their respect, gratitude, and longing for Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by displaying the Turkish flag and a poster of Atatürk.
