The exhibition titled “The Soul of the Earth” by photographer and screenwriter Ebru Ceylan met with art lovers in Nilüfer. Those who want to explore the spirit of nature through photographs can visit the exhibition at the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum until March 2.

Nilüfer Municipality has brought another special exhibition to art lovers in Misi. The exhibition “The Soul of the Earth,” created by artist Ebru Ceylan with her unique perspective and consisting of 24 works, has started welcoming visitors at the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum. The exhibition offers viewers the opportunity to explore the elements of nature on a sensory and relevant level.

Ceylan’s works, which uniquely interpret elements of nature such as mountains, plains, forests, seas, and silence, take participants on a deep artistic journey. Art enthusiasts have the chance to experience the visual expression of nature in the exhibition. The opening ceremony held at the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum was attended by Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir, photographer Ebru Ceylan, curator Engin Özendes, and many art lovers.

In his speech at the opening, Mayor Şadi Özdemir emphasized the importance of Misi for Bursa and Nilüfer, stating, “Misi is one of the most valuable places in the region with its culture and heritage.” He also reminded that the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum, which opened in 2017, has hosted important figures from both domestic and world photography history, expressing that Ebru Ceylan’s works added a visual feast to the museum.

Curator Engin Özendes indicated that the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum places great importance on hosting distinguished artists, stating, “This exhibition offers an opportunity to understand and interpret the spirit of the Earth through the art of photography.”

Artist Ebru Ceylan expressed her happiness for the exhibition being held in such a special venue, saying, “The name The Soul of the Earth is a concept based on Ancient Rome that encompasses the topography, buildings, people, and characteristics of a place,” and thanked the Nilüfer Municipality for their support in hosting the exhibition.

After the speeches, the exhibition opened to visitors. Art lovers examined the works featuring different techniques with great interest. The exhibition will remain open for appreciation at the Nilüfer Municipality Photography Museum until March 2, 2025.
