Hatayspor’s Technical Director Bülent Albayrak stated after the victory against Gaziantep FK, “Today, thank God, we took the 3 points. Hopefully, our team will gain momentum upwards from now on.”

In the 12th week of the Trendyol Super League, Hatayspor defeated Gaziantep FK 3-1 in a match played in Mersin, securing their first victory in the league. Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Hatayspor Assistant Coach Bülent Albayrak began by respectfully commemorating the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the 86th anniversary of his death. Albayrak expressed that they dominated the game from start to finish, saying, “We scored 3 goals. We created enough goal-scoring opportunities. There were very clear chances we missed. We haven’t been able to win for a long time, but we have created very clear chances in other matches, yet the score did not come. There are matches where we lost due to very simple mistakes. But today, thank God, we took the 3 points. Hopefully, our team will gain momentum upwards from now on. In a 3-point system, to climb from the bottom to the top, 2-3 consecutive victories can suddenly propel you to the middle of the league. We have confidence in our team.”

“We are working under difficult conditions”

Albayrak expressed that they are fighting under very difficult conditions, saying, “As you know, we are working in another city. We have to train on a very small field. It’s a field that has been taken for maintenance for winter. The facilities are not very adequate, but despite all this, I congratulate our player friends. Not just for today’s match, but they are putting in an incredible effort in training. Today we reaped the benefits of that, and hopefully, we will continue to do so from now on.”
