Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir published a message on the occasion of November 10th, Atatürk Memorial Day and Atatürk Week.
Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir stated in his message published for November 10th, Atatürk Memorial Day and Atatürk Week, that the leader of the independence war, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, will live forever in the hearts of the Turkish nation.
Recalling that it has been 86 years since Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk passed away on November 10, 1938, Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir said, “No matter how many years or centuries pass since he left us, his place in the hearts of the Turkish nation will continue to exist forever, and our heroic martyrs and veterans, with whom he fought shoulder to shoulder, will never be forgotten.”
Emphasizing that November 10th is not a day of mourning, but a day when the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s worldview, ideas, and works are remembered and comprehended again, Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir stated, “Based on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words, ‘The one who loves his homeland the most is the one who does his duty the best,’ we will continue to work tirelessly as a state and a nation to elevate our country above the level of contemporary civilizations.”
Stating that “It is our primary duty to eternally preserve the Republic that Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk entrusted to us,” Mayor Özdemir expressed, “On the occasion of the 86th anniversary of his passing, I remember with mercy and gratitude the founder of our Republic, the great statesman Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who inscribed his name in golden letters in world history, as well as his comrades in arms, our heroic martyrs, and veterans, and I extend my respects and gratitude.”
