In the upcoming period, Vestel is intensifying its activities towards the mobility market, which is expected to experience exponential growth, and is participating in the Solar+Storage NX fair held in Istanbul from November 7-9 with energy storage systems.

Recently accelerating its efforts in the mobility field, Vestel is present at the Solar+Storage NX, an important fair organization for Turkey’s solar energy and energy storage sectors, held in Istanbul from November 7-9. At the fair, Vestel is showcasing its developed products and technologies for energy storage in an 88 square meter area at hall 11 / A5.

Hakan Kutlu, General Manager of Vestel Mobility, reminded that storage solutions for renewable energy sources like solar and wind are rapidly becoming widespread worldwide. He noted that many people in various countries, especially in Europe, use the energy they store through solar panels during the day in their homes at night, stating, “These users achieve significant savings in energy costs thanks to battery solutions. As a company, we also produce solutions that will enable more efficient use of global resources with this perspective.”

Kutlu mentioned that Vestel Mobility develops and produces energy storage systems used today in residential, commercial, and industrial areas, as well as in renewable solar and wind energy plants and the telecommunications sector, saying, “When intermittent renewable energy sources like solar and wind do not produce energy, these sources need to be supported by energy storage technologies. In response to this need, we design and produce container-sized energy battery storage units with capacities of 3 to 5 MWh.”

He expressed that they recently launched Turkey’s first domestic battery energy storage system, stating, “The energy battery storage system we established at the SARAR Outlet facilities in the Bozüyük district of Bilecik provides uninterrupted energy to four EVCs with 400kW power simultaneously for commercial and industrial enterprises.”

Kutlu reminded that there are very few examples of EVC backend usage worldwide, saying, “Our system, developed by our engineers, has a capacity of 300kWh and a maximum output power of 200kW. The energy battery storage system, which can be controlled remotely via an EMS (energy management system), supplies energy to the 400kW EVCs in the facility simultaneously with the same performance. The battery energy storage system charges through solar panels in a hybrid manner, and when solar panels cannot be used, it can charge from the grid. In the integrated system of EVC-Battery-Solar-Grid, the energy stored through solar panels supports the grid when needed, enabling the use of electric charging stations.”

The Solar+Storage NX, held within the scope of the NextGen Mobility Expo & Summit, is organized to contribute to the development of solar energy and energy storage technologies. The fair provides opportunities by bringing together investors with project developers, consumers with suppliers, and decision-makers with the energy sector, creating long-term sustainable partnerships and commercial agreements.
