The Metropolitan Art Gallery, brought to life by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and hosting numerous events since its opening, has now opened its doors to KAYMEK. Women showed great interest in the ‘Making Decorative Cups with Cold Porcelain Clay’ workshop held at the art gallery.
The Metropolitan Art Gallery, established by Kayseri Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, who preserves the city’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, continues to host special projects and events that inspire the art world.
In this context, the ‘Making Decorative Cups with Cold Porcelain Clay and Workshop’ event was held at the Metropolitan Art Gallery, which operates within the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden, organized by KAYMEK.
Mücahid Soyak, the Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, also visited the KAYMEK Art Gallery. Soyak chatted with the women participating in the event and invited everyone to the ongoing courses of this kind.
Ebru Çetiner, who participated in the Cold Porcelain Clay Decorative Cup Making Workshop, expressed her love for art, stating, “We will make small roses on our cup with cold porcelain clay. I love engaging with art. I especially thank KAYMEK and our municipality for this activity.”

Leyla Kara, another participant, said, “Our event is going very well; our instructor explains things beautifully. It has been a great experience for us. I thank our Metropolitan Mayor and our KAYMEK instructor very much.” Hülya Yaldız, who described KAYMEK as a master in this field, added, “We participated in the ceramic workshop organized by KAYMEK. It was a field I was very curious about. I am also an educator and enjoy developing myself in different areas. The master of this art is KAYMEK in Kayseri; I thank our mayor and the friends who contributed to providing this training.”
Dilek Gengeç, who creates decorative products from cold porcelain clay, shared that they produce colorful items using cup decorations and molds with cold porcelain clay, indicating that their working area is quite broad. Gengeç emphasized that works can be done from cup decorations to paintings, from serving dishes to flower vases, adding that their goal is to create decorative and enjoyable products.
