The summit regarding the ‘3rd Age Tourism’ emerging in the world will be hosted by Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü, where Turkish and foreign tourism professionals will discuss developments in the sector.
Marmaris Municipality will hold a summit to explore and develop the potential of 3rd Age Tourism. The ‘Promotion and Marketing Summit of Marmaris’ 3rd Age Tourism Potential’ will serve as a special platform to shape the future of elderly-friendly tourism, discuss new opportunities in the sector, and sustainable projects. Experts in the field will discuss Marmaris’s potential for 3rd age tourism. Starting on Saturday, November 9, the summit will feature speakers from Germany and Turkey, covering topics such as the Changing Demographic Structure in Europe and its Effects on Tourism, Recent Developments in 3rd Age (Best Ager) Tourism from German Markets, and the Correct Positioning of Marmaris in the Markets, as well as the Contribution of Popular Music to Destination Marketing.
The 3rd Age Tourism Summit, hosted by Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü, will also see participation from Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, President of the Federal Association of Independent Travel Agents in Germany Anke Budde, Secretary General of the World Sister Cities Tourism Union Hüseyin Baraner, President of Marmaris Chamber of Commerce Mutlu Ayhan, President of Marmaris Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chamber Mehmet Ayyıldız, GETOB President Cengiz Aygün, Chairman of the TÜRSAB Marmaris Regional Representation Suat Esin, and Marmaris Municipality Council Member (Chairman of the Tourism Commission) Fahri Tan, bringing together tourism stakeholders.
Stating that the event is very important for increasing the diversity of tourism in Marmaris and expanding its market share, Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü said, “We have organized a special event to better understand the beauties and potential of Marmaris and to discuss the effects of demographic changes in Europe on tourism. We will continue to work together with all our stakeholders to take strong steps for the future of Marmaris. We invite all sector representatives to the event.”
