Every week, the ‘Konakta Hasbihal’ program will be held at the Uşak University Student Dormitory and Culture House, where our students meet with prominent figures of the city.
In the ‘Konakta Hasbihal’ discussions, our students have the opportunity to meet important names from various fields. The ‘Konakta Hasbihal’ event, which will take place every Friday evening, aims to enrich the knowledge and experience of the students.
Before this week’s discussion, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said, “With these types of events held at our Student Dormitory and Culture House, we aim to create an environment where our students can improve themselves and gain access to knowledge and experience. Our young people, who have the opportunity to meet with important figures of the city, will have the chance to communicate one-on-one with leading names in their professions and benefit from their experiences. We invite our students to the ‘Konakta Hasbihal’ held in our dormitory every Friday evening. I would like to thank our guest this week, Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır, for meeting with our students and the information he will share.”
“Our Student Dormitory and Culture House is a place where our students can read books, study, and organize various events.” Rector Savaş also stated that Uşak University always sees providing the best service to students and staff as a priority, saying, “Our Student Dormitory and Culture House is designed to provide an environment where students can study, develop themselves by reading books, and enrich themselves through social activities. We will expand our students’ knowledge by bringing them together with expert guests in various fields through different events. As Uşak University, we will continue to stand by our students and staff and meet their needs in the best possible way.”
This week’s guest at the discussion was Uşak Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır, who shared information with the students about religious and moral values. Çakır emphasized the importance of spiritual development for young people and offered advice on coping with challenges they face. Burhan Çakır also highlighted that the Presidency of Religious Affairs, established in 1924, is one of Turkey’s important institutions and detailed the services and scholarships provided by the presidency.
After the discussion, a ney concert was performed by Neyzen Muhammed Said Karabacak under the direction of Instructor Dr. Onur Altıntuğ. At the end of the program, Rector Savaş presented a plaque of appreciation to Provincial Mufti Burhan Çakır in memory of the day.
