The 8th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party Talas was held.

At the 8th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party Talas, the current president Mustafa Kiraz was re-elected as president after running as the sole candidate. AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Fatih Üzüm stated, “The AK Party is always the most important representative and example of democracy.”

The AK Party Talas 8th Ordinary Congress, held at the Erciyes Cultural Center, was attended by AK Party Kayseri MPs Murat Cahid Cıngı, Mr. Bayar Özsoy, Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Fatih Üzüm, Talas District Chairman Mustafa Kiraz, members of the AK Party Kayseri Provincial Organization, and members of the Talas District Organization. After a recitation from the Quran, a moment of silence was observed, and the National Anthem was sung. In his opening speech, AK Party Talas District Chairman Mustafa Kiraz expressed his hope that the congress would lead to good results, stating that they always sought God’s approval in their work and followed the principle of ‘obedience to the leader, loyalty to the cause’ in all their steps.

“Cooperation between the organization and the implementation has always brought success in Talas”

Stating that “the cooperation between the organization and the implementation has always brought success in Talas,” Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın said, “Together with our AK Party Talas district organization and our coalition partner MHP, the cooperation in Talas has always brought success. This will continue from now on. From that day to this day, the AK Party has always been in Talas, and God willing, it will continue to be so. Our Talas, which hosts the voters with the most demographic, sociological, economic, and professional differences in Kayseri, takes pride in being able to keep a pulse on our people and provide services that make their lives easier. I thank our elders who deemed me and my organization worthy of this duty and our Metropolitan Mayor, our MPs, and our organization members who have not withheld their support.”

“A congress worthy of the AK Party”

Kayseri Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç conveyed that the AK Party Talas 8th Ordinary Congress was a distinguished congress befitting the AK Party and stated, “The congresses we attend are progressing step by step, almost in a competition. The most important aspect is that the congress is held in a dignified environment. Congresses are held in an understanding worthy of our AK Party. This aspect is commendable. Thank God there are no fights. Chairs are not flying around. There are no people disrespectfully speaking to each other. When that happens, we say, ‘This is a congress worthy of the AK Party.’ We are holding our 8th ordinary congress. Therefore, I also pray, ‘May God grant us many more 8th congresses.'”

“We will continue to serve this nation together”

Celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the AK Party’s rise to power, AK Party Kayseri MP Mr. Bayar Özsoy stated, “On November 3, 2002, under the leadership of our President, our AK Party came to power and has been in power for 22 years. I want to share with you the honor I feel from being a soldier of the AK Party for 22 years. For 22 years, thank God, we have tried to serve the AK Party at all levels. We will continue to work from now on. When our president came to power, he said something beautiful. He said, ‘We did not come to be masters of the nation, but to be servants.’ God willing, we will continue to serve this nation together.”

Emphasizing that the AK Party has always been the most important representative and example of democracy, AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Fatih Üzüm continued his words as follows:

“For 22 years, all our citizens have felt that the AK Party is the most important representative of democracy to the fullest. District congresses are the most important element of a renewal, the participation of new friends among us, and bringing new life to the organization and unity. Today we are holding our 14th district congress. We have seen this enthusiasm, this excitement, and this happiness in all our district congresses. My President Memduh said, ‘We are going step by step.’ What makes us happy in our congresses is that we have changed 5 district chairmen. They all handed over their duties with flowers. We made a promise to the 5 district chairmen. That promise ends with this sentence: ‘No stopping, continue on the road.’ No one is hurt with each other. While handing over duties, we also support and uphold our new friends who are taking over their duties with dignity. No one should do politics for personal gain or for positions, ranks, and seats.”

The current president Mustafa Kiraz, who participated in the AK Party Talas 8th Ordinary Congress as the only candidate, was re-elected as president.
