Despite the arrival of November, citizens waking up to summer-like weather flocked to the colorful Karagöl Geosite to enjoy the unique natural scenery with the arrival of autumn.

Located 35 kilometers away from the center of Kızılcahamam district in Ankara, Karagöl has transformed into autumn colors. Taking advantage of the weather remaining above seasonal conditions, citizens headed to Karagöl Geosite to witness every shade of yellow and green that the trees surrounding the lake had donned. The forests created by autumn, resembling a painting, were captured on drone footage.

“It’s a beautiful place, we love Karagöl”

Ziya Songül expressed that they came to Karagöl Geosite to make the most of this beautiful weather one last time before the temperatures drop and to see the colorful scenery that has emerged. He stated, “It’s a beautiful place, we love Karagöl. We came here for a family visit over the weekend. While the yellowing of the trees is joyful, it is also a bit melancholic since summer is coming to an end. For us, it’s a beautiful sight; we also love autumn.”

“You are greeted with a beautiful view”

Cenk Erduran mentioned that he comes to Karagöl Geosite every weekend to escape city life, saying, “The best time is between autumn and winter. The beautiful sight of nature, that’s the best. Every weekend, I try to escape from the hustle and stress of Ankara; the most beautiful place is here. I always recommend it; it must be seen. For us, the best part is that the visitors take their trash with them when they leave. Living in nature is the best. You come here with the country’s first formed stones and are greeted with a magnificent view. This is the most beautiful thing in life; I think people who love living should be here.”

“I share this area on my social media as ‘the 50 shades of autumn'”

Toğba Erduran pointed out that Kızılcahamam district in Ankara is a natural wonder and remarked that the Black Sea climate shows its effects in this region, saying, “We experience clean air here. I think everyone can come here with large groups, but the most important thing is that we see dirt in many places. It is very important for them to clean up and take care of the environment. I share this area on my social media as ‘the 50 shades of autumn.’ The colors are truly dazzling, all intertwined, and I love capturing nature scenes. Therefore, when citizens come here, they will really experience a feast of nature.”
